Societies are not static, they are like pendulums and can swing too far in either direction.

This site is committed to the free exchange of ideas in a civil manner. Leave your flies out of the room. The purpose here is to explore ideas that can lead to solutions that benefit all, if not most, rather than some at the expense of others.

Don’t complain if you’re not willing to make the sacrifice of time to, at least, read about what concerns you. If you abdicate your involvement---you get out what you put in.

To my father---as tough as an authoritarian as he was, he planted the seeds for this work. Did he know what he was doing?

Something from Footprints to Hate

There’s plenty of hate here to go around. These are just some examples of what shows up on the Internet:

"We have to kill all the Palestinians unless they are resigned to live here as slaves." Chairman Heilbrun of the Committee for the Re-election of General Shlomo Lahat, the mayor of Tel Aviv, October 1983.

"We walked outside, Ben-Gurion accompanying us. Allon repeated his question, What is to be done with the Palestinian population?' Ben-Gurion waved his hand in a gesture which said 'Drive them out!'" Yitzhak Rabin, leaked censored version of Rabin memoirs, published in the New York Times, 23 October 1979.

Israeli Rabbi Yitzhak Ginsburg, Inferring that killing isn't murder if the victim is Gentile. Jerusalem Post, June 19,1989: "Jewish blood and a goy's [gentile's] blood are not the same."

"Zionist colonization must either be terminated or carried out against the wishes of the native population. This colonization can, therefore, be continued and make progress only under the protection of a power independent of the native population - an iron wall, which will be in a position to resist the pressure to the native population. This is, in toto, our policy towards the Arabs...... Zionism is a colonization adventure and therefore it stands or falls by the question of armed force. It is important... to speak Hebrew, but, unfortunately, it is even more important to be able to shoot - or else I am through with playing at colonizing." Vladimir Jabotinsky, The Iron Wall, 1923.

And I’m sure there are equal sentiments on the Arab side. But I have no clue as to whether these statements are true or not. That’s the unverifiability at some point of the internet. But my sense is that actions are speaking louder than words. And at the end of the day, we’ve seen the power of religious persuasion, the power of those with agendas to attain their ends regardless of the cost to others.  It’s a mindset that’s perpetuated through ignorance. The ignorance to believe that one is superior to another.

I believe there has to be a grain of supremacist truth because we’ve heard these verifiable thoughts from others for eons. If people of African origin and Native American Indians are considered inferior races, why should we think the founders of Zionism were any different than the Teddy, They are sure to come when a masterful people, still in its raw barbarian prime, finds itself face to face with a weaker and wholly alien race which holds a coveted prize in its feeble grasp Roosevelts of the time?  I find it hard to believe that the tenacity and ability to achieve the conquering of a people comes with pacifist notions, but on the contrary, requires a ruthless passion. The taking of something believed to be stolen can only be accomplished with the venom of entitlement.

The world has paid a high price for enabling the return of some religious zealots to a homeland that was, actually, a homeland to practically all of humanity. They paid their price for a “chosenness” never understood by others, for bluster that accompanies the list of human universals as a cat arches its back and blows up its tail, a porcupine spreads it needles, Saddam says he has weapons of mass destruction, Iran says they’ll defend themselves with bombs and humanity continues down the path of deterrence by the Hobsean threat of mutual destruction. The actions of occupying colonialism are speaking louder than words.
